When it comes to playing portables I like to see them playing cordless because that's the way they were designed. You take this thing and play it outside in the grass on batteries. I'll be a lot happier.

I've had one of those before. The Akai decks were beautiful, but the only problem with themm is finding parts for them, and if anyone has them, they want enough 💰 for them to RETIRE ON!!!

8 tracks were the tits in 1974... best portable audio.

I have a Teleton STP812 from the 1970s and is in perfect working order. I also have a Pioneer car 8 track player from 1971, but unsure of the model number. I believe it was badge as a Lear in the U.S

Used to have an 8 track pioneer supertuner. I really enjoyed it and it gave me great sound. I also had it power boosted and I got pretty good bass out of it.

Cheap... it doesn't check the size of the record when you flip the reject lever. Better quality turntables "knock" the edge of the record with the stylus to verify if it is a 7", 10", or 12" record before dropping the needle.

Are there belts in these that wear out? I need to find a retro 8-track player. :-)

I know this is a really stupid question, but I was just gifted one of these from a family member. Can you explain where this thing plugs into the wall? I have looked and looked and cannot find how to power this thing on. I have the realistic lab 50 turntable. I was just give the turn table with a shit ton of cords and I don't know what goes where.

What model is this? 2310x? What cartridge is on it?

This illustrates one of the great things about 8-Track: simplicity. Just insert the tape and it plays. Tap a button and it moves to another program.

we had one like that in the late 60 or 70's. really ours was white but that one looked colored. i think it was white in the old days time yellowed it
